Christmas on the Farm

Tuesday, 1 December 2026
Tue 1 – Thu 24 December, 10:00am – 4:00pm (until 12 noon on Christmas Eve)
Temple Newsam, Leeds, LS15 0AE
Leeds Museums & Galleries

A Christmas tree trail through Temple Newsam Home Farm, running every day from 1 to 24 December. Pick up a trail booklet from the Play Barn and follow the festive clues; self-led Christmas crafts in the Joiner’s Shop are drop-in. Both are free with general farm admission. Guided tree tours (with a mince pie and hot chocolate afterwards) and children’s table-decoration workshops are charged separately and need booking.

Christmas trees with a difference fill the Blacksmith’s, Play Barn, Farm Office, Dovecote, 1940s Flat, Joiner’s Shop, Harness Room, Saw Mill and Engine Room, each telling a story about the building and its past. The Great Barn holds the Christmouse Village and its Christmas tree, tied to the weekly storytelling sessions in the Play Barn, and there is a Living Nativity in the Stables.
