My Spirit Sang All Day

An a cappella concert by St Peter’s Singers of Leeds at St Mary’s Church, Whitkirk. It runs roughly 90 minutes including a short interval, with refreshments served. Tickets are £10, with concessions available.

The programme mixes secular and sacred pieces from the English and German Romantic traditions: Vaughan Williams’ Linden Lea and Stanford’s The Blue Bird, Brahms, and Parry’s Songs of Farewell, alongside Bruckner and Déodat de Séverac. The choir are keen to say that newcomers to choral music are as welcome as long-time enthusiasts.
